Who we are
Savanna Hub is a social community operated by Ifeanyi Okoloma through Savanna Spot. This policy explains how we handle information when you browse, create an account, share content, or use our connected features.
For privacy questions or requests, contact developer@savannaspot.com.
Information we handle
- Account and profile: your account identifier, email address, username, name, profile picture, and other profile details you choose to provide. Email/password accounts are authenticated through Supabase.
- Content and communication: posts, articles, uploaded photos and videos, comments, reactions, group activity, messages, and information needed to connect calls.
- Interests and activity: topics you select or write, content views and interactions used for recommendations, follows, friends, saved content, notification preferences, and online or last-seen status.
- Technical information: session information, browser and device information, network information such as IP addresses, push-subscription details when enabled, and operational or error logs processed by our hosting and service providers.
Google sign-in
When you choose Google sign-in, Google and Supabase provide your Google account identifier, email address, name, and profile picture to create or identify your Savanna Hub account and establish a session. Your name and picture may appear on your profile and content; your email is used for account communication and support.
Our Google sign-in requests basic identity information. It does not request access to your Gmail messages, contacts, calendar, or Google Drive files. Savanna Hub does not receive your Google password.
We use information received through Google sign-in to provide and secure your account and the app features described here. We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising. You can remove Savanna Hub’s Google connection from your Google Account connections. Removing that connection does not by itself delete information already stored in Savanna Hub; contact us to request deletion.
How we use information
We use information to sign you in, maintain your profile and content, deliver messages and calls, personalize feeds and recommendations, send account and selected notifications, prevent abuse, moderate content, diagnose errors, and respond to support requests.
Custom interests you write may be sent to the development team at developer@savannaspot.com so we can review topics and improve coverage. Avoid including personal or sensitive information in an interest name.
What other people can see
Profile details and content you publish publicly can be viewed by signed-out visitors and may be indexed by search engines. Your activity, reactions, connections, and presence may be visible within the app. Group content is shown according to the group’s access settings.
Messages are stored to provide messaging. We do not describe messaging as end-to-end encrypted. People who receive your content can copy or share it, so avoid posting information you do not want others to retain.
AI features and moderation
When you use Nwanne or other AI features, the text or images needed for that feature may be sent to a configured AI provider. Nwanne requests can include recent conversation context, relevant public posts and news, and relevant group posts available to you, including posts from private groups you belong to. Uploaded content may also be processed for moderation.
Depending on which connections are enabled and available, providers can include Anthropic, Google Gemini, OpenRouter and its routed model providers, or Cloudflare Workers AI. A fallback provider may handle a request if another fails. Their processing and retention practices are governed by the applicable provider terms. Do not submit passwords, payment details, or sensitive personal information to AI features.
Service providers and external content
We use providers to operate features: Vercel for website hosting, Supabase for authentication and data, Cloudinary for media, Resend for email, Stream for communication features, and configured AI providers for AI processing. Providers receive the information needed to perform their role.
Embedded content such as YouTube videos, GIFs, and externally hosted images can connect your browser to their providers and disclose technical information such as your IP address. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own privacy policy. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to investigate abuse and protect users or the service.
Our providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Contact us if you need more information about a particular provider or data transfer.
Cookies, device storage, and permissions
We use cookies and browser storage for sign-in sessions, remembered accounts, preferences such as your theme, and app caching. Signing out and clearing browser data can remove local account information; it does not delete your server-side account.
Browser notifications require your permission and a stored push subscription. You can change notification settings in the app and revoke permission in your browser. Camera and microphone access depend on the feature you use and your device permissions. You can revoke these permissions through your browser or device settings.
Retention and security
We retain account information and content to operate the service while your account or content remains active. Retention also depends on the type of information, support and safety needs, and provider backup and logging practices. This policy does not promise a fixed deletion period for every system.
We use access controls and secure connections to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Deletion from the active service may not immediately remove provider backups, logs, cached pages, or copies held by other users and external services.
Your choices and requests
You can edit available profile details, change interests and notification preferences, and remove content using the app’s controls. To request access to, correction of, a copy of, or deletion of your personal information or account, email developer@savannaspot.com. We may need to verify that the request relates to your account. Do not send your password.
If you believe a child has provided personal information that should not be on the service, contact us so we can investigate. The privacy rights and options available to you can depend on where you live.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page and its date when this policy changes. Please check it when deciding how to use Savanna Hub or contact us if anything is unclear.
